About Object Detection for Artifacts

Developed an AI-powered object detection and tracking pipeline to recognize three iconic Ancient Egyptian artifacts—the Pyramids of Giza, the Mask of Tutankhamun, and the Bust of Nefertiti.

Created a 724‑image dataset annotated in YOLO format via Roboflow, capturing varied angles, lighting, occlusions, and multi‑object scenes to enhance model robustness. Fine‑tuned two YOLO‑v11 models (YOLO‑v11l for higher accuracy and YOLO‑v11s for real‑time performance) to evaluate the precision‑latency trade‑off, and integrated them into a real‑time tracking system for smart museum experiences.
